Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher praise Emmanuel Dennis’ game intelligence for his goal in Nottingham Forest’s 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Friday night.
Dennis was handed his third start of the season by manager Steve Cooper against the Magpies.
The 25-year-old repaid his manager’s faith by scoring his side’s only goal of the game in 26 minutes.
The versatile forward took advantage of a hesitant Newcastle United defence to beat goalkeeper Nick Pope.
Carragher praised Dennis for his smartness in the build-up to the goal.
“You have to give credit to [Emmanuel] Dennis not only for anticipating but there’s a lot to do for the finish, which is wonderful,” Carragher said after the game.
Dennis has scored two goals in 14 league appearances for Nottingham Forest this season.
